The VC20 works well and it is compact, very happy with it.

Nice volume controller
These analogue volume controllers are really helpful especially if you listen to music with small head/ear phones at night while trying to sleep. Being able to slightly adjust the volume, as opposed to the digital steps, is so nice.

Perfect performance
I plugged this control into the audio line for my PC headset and it work perfectly first try. Great device.
